St. Stephens

Parish activities begin with the Spanish Retreat, then teen social, the Rosary and Divine Mercy devotion, RCIC in Spanish, RCIA in Spanish and English, Faith Formation for all youth, K of C officers meeting, New Bible Study on the Book of Acts, Boy's Confirmation Retreat, Confessions, St. Vincent pantry, Spanish Faith Formation and Lasagna dinner.

Women's Guild LASAGNA DINNER will be available to dine in or pick-up orders to go on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. Take a break from cooking and join us for a great Lasagna meal in the parish hall. Buy your tickets after Mass or call Anita at 749-8644 to make your reservation.

New Bible Study with Dr. Scott Hahn's GENESIS TO JESUS starts Sunday, Feb. 9 at 10:30 to 12:30 p.m. The class will be a total of 9 Sunday Sessions and ending the last weekend of Lent. Congratulations to the Knights of Columbus 2013 Scholarship winners: Luke Sheehy 2.98 GPA; Megan Stehly 3.9 GPA; Sullivan Shimer 3.4 GPA; Erin McGlone 3.5 GPA; and Laura Sengstack 3.6 GPA. These students' academic achievements and community service activities earned them the Knights of Columbus Scholarships.

We are offering a new Single Parents Ministry – Divorce Healing Program beginning Saturday, Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. This 12-week program covers topics from shock and denial to remarriage or staying single and much more. Whether divorced ten days ago or ten years ago, this program offers valuable insight for everyone.




Seventh-day Adventist

Seventh-day Adventist Church, preaching the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Thursday, Jan. 23, is our next commitment to provide a meal at Haven House. Sabbath (Saturday) services will begin with Bible study classes at 9:30 a.m. for all ages. The adult lesson is entitled, Discipling Children, continuing our quarter's studies on Discipleship. Lessons are available by looking up www.ssnet.org online. The sermon will be presented by Michael Kelly. Sermons are posted on our website which can be located at www.sdavalleycenter.net. A fellowship meal will be served after the church service. Sunday there will be singing at 10 a.m. at the Villas Convalescent Center in Escondido. All are invited.
