Ridgeview Church

St. Stephens

We begin this week thanking Pat Conger for his 13 years as President of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Stephen's parish. Stepping up now is Chuck Clayton to continue in his footsteps.

This week we have faith formation for all youth, RCIC in Spanish, RCIA in Spanish and English, Knights of Columbus general meeting, Women's Guild general meeting, the New Bible Study on the Book of Acts, Divine Mercy devotions, Girl's Confirmation Retreat, Confessions, St. Vincent distribution, and Spanish Faith Formation.

Our high school youth will go to Broomball at the Escondido Ice-O-Plex at 10 p.m. Saturday night.

Our new Single Parent's Ministry offers Catholics a Divorce Healing program beginning this Saturday, Jan. 25 and continuing each Saturday at 6:30 p.m. until April 12. Topics covered will include annulment, spirituality, remarriage or staying single and much more. Whether divorced ten days ago or ten years ago, this program offers valuable insight for everyone.

Scott Hahn's GENESIS TO JESUS bible study begins Sunday, Feb. 9 for a total of nine sessions at the home of Gloria Salinas from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost of $35 includes breakfast. For more information, call 760-749-2820.

The 16th Annual Divine Mercy Conference will be held Feb. 21 and 22 at the Mission San Antonio de Pala's San Juan Diego Center. Opening Mass is Friday at 7 p.m. with celebrant Bishop Cirilo Flores with many other exciting speakers during the weekend. Questions, call Mary at 760-751-1157.

Seventh-day Adventist

Seventh-day Adventist Church, preaching the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Sabbath (Saturday) services will begin with Bible study classes at 9:30 a.m. for all ages. The adult lesson is entitled, "Discipling the Sick," continuing our quarter's studies on "Discipleship." Lessons are available by looking up "" online. The sermon will be presented by Pastor Anderson, entitled "The King at the Crossroads."
