The "church for people who don't do church". An eclectic blend of Valley Centerites, music that runs the gamut from old-school hymns to rockin' Contemporary Christian and sermons that are entertaining, thought-provoking, and rarely boring. St. Stephens

This week St. Stephen's parish participates in the 40 Days for Life Vigil with prayer and fasting to finally put an end to abortion in front of the abortion clinic in San Marcos.

Other activities encompass CCD, Jr. and High School youth groups, the Rosary and Divine Mercy Devotions, RCIA, Women's Bible Study, Study on the Book of Revelation, Confession, Single Parent/Divorced/Widowed gathering, St. Vincent de Paul pantry distribution, Spanish Bible Study and Oktoberfest.

The Oktoberfest will be Saturday, Oct. 25 beginning at 6:30 p.m. There will be wonderful food, music, dancing, and entertainment. This is a great evening of fun for the entire family.

The Women's Guild general meeting with speaker Terry Barber, pioneer in Catholic Radio, author and commentator will be Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. All are welcome.

All Saints Day is Nov. 1 and is not a Holy Day of Obligation since it falls on a Saturday. However we invite you to come to Mass at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31 followed by Trunk or Treat in the parking lot. Children are welcome to come dressed in costume. How about your favorite Saint? Adults are asked to decorate your vehicles and bring candy.

High School Youth Dance is Saturday, Nov. 1 from 8 – 11 p.m.

Lifeteen Inspiration Tour at Magic Mountain is Saturday, Nov. 8 at 6:30 p.m.

Our High School Youth will be assembling Homeless Kits to be distributed to our parish community in November. The kit kept in your car will be available to give to someone in need. Donations are welcome of bottled water, packaged snacks, gift cards (available through SCRIP); socks and gallon size zip lock bags. Donation box is in the narthex.

Seventh-day Adventist

Seventh-day Adventist Church, preaching the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Sabbath (Saturday) services will begin with Bible study classes at 9:30 a.m. for all ages. The adult lesson is entitled, "Being and Doing," continuing our quarter's studies on "The Book of James." Lessons are available by looking up online. The sermon will be given by Albert Francis. A fellowship meal will be served after the church service. Sunday there will be singing at 10 a.m. at the Villas Convalescent Center in Escondido. Wednesday is prayer meeting at 7 p.m. with supper at 6 p.m. We are studying the book "The Desire of Ages" on the life of Christ. All are invited. St. Francis Episcopal Church

St. Francis Episcopal Church is a small but vibrant church in Pauma Valley. The church's mission is to share the love of Christ.

The Episcopal Church welcomes all to celebrate and share Christ's love for his people. The church is located at 16608 Hwy. 76 near the Pauma Valley Community Center. All are invited to join in our Sunday morning worship service.

Holy Eucharist is celebrated at both our Sunday services. The 8: a.m. service is a quiet service without music. The 10 a.m. service offers congregational singing and a weekly musical offering by the St. Francis Choir. After the 10 a.m. service, there is food, coffee, and conversation for all.
