Do you find time in your day for Lent? Try to pray daily by saying a little prayer whenever someone irritates you and also when someone does you a favor. Also try fasting from criticism and judging others. Give of yourself by giving encouragement, a word of praise or showing kindness to someone who could use a friend. Doing so will help you be ready to celebrate when a joyful dawn breaks upon you Easter morning. (taken from www.loyolapress.com.)

This Friday, March 27, is our Parish Potluck soup supper following the 5:30 p.m. Mass and Stations of the Cross. The Stations will be inside and outside of the church.

So our youth can receive Jesus before school, there will be a Mass at 6:45 a.m. and no 8:45 a.m. Mass on the first Wednesday of each month. ALL are always welcome.

Since our school district has respected our Christian tradition, VCPUSD does not have school on Good Friday. Our youth will have the opportunity to observe this holy day by having a Good Friday Retreat Day for all high school youth from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

BEREAVEMENT CORNER: On Palm Sunday, March 29, we will have our third annual Lenten Bereavement Seminar after the 9 a.m. Mass in the youth room. There will be breakfast and beverages served. Call Penny at (760) 685-3403 with any questions.

The Episcopal Church welcomes all to celebrate and share Christ's love for his people. The church is at 16608 Hwy. 76 near the Pauma Valley Community Center. All are invited to join in our Sunday morning worship service.

Holy Eucharist is celebrated at both our Sunday services. The 8 a.m. service is a quiet service without music.
