St. Stephen Catholic Church
Fr. Elmer will be celebrating Mass at 6:45 a.m. on May 6 so our youth can receive Jesus before school. Of course all are welcome, but the time is to accommodate our youth. There will be no 8:45 a.m. on that day.
A season of sacraments: May is a very special month as we look forward to celebrating the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation with our youth who have been preparing diligently for the last two years.
First Holy Communions: 10 a.m. Saturday, May 2. Twenty-six children from Jana Schwerdtfeger's class will receive Jesus for the first time in Holy Eucharist. Spanish First Holy Communion will be celebrated at the 11 a.m. masses on May 10, 17 and 24. There will be 66 children receiving Jesus for the first time in Holy Communion.
Confirmation will be celebrated by Bishop Robert Brom at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 31 with 48 people.
The last official Middle School of the year will be Monday, May 18. But we plan on having activities for Middle School throughout the summer. Stay tuned for more info!
St. Stephen's Women's Guild is holding the following events:
• April 29 – General meeting in Briscoe Hall 2 at 7 p.m.
• May 2 & 3 – Keep the Plate Bake Sale in the church library after all Masses
• May 27 – General meeting in Briscoe 2 at 7 p.m.
• June 6 – Installation Tea/Luncheon in the church hall at 11 a.m.

Valley Center Seventh-Day Adventist Church
A spiritual growth seminar will be hosted at the church beginning Wednesday, April 29, and concluding Sabbath (Saturday) afternoon.
The six sessions are being presented by well-known evangelist, Jack Sequeria, and will give greater emphasis and understanding on the full gospel of Jesus Christ and of Righteousness by Faith and the indwelling of His Holy Spirit.
Have you longed to have that upper room experience that filled the disciples in Acts 2? Then, come and join us for these inspiring and life changing messages at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 29; 7 p.m. Thursday, April 30; 7 p.m. Friday, May 1 and three sessions at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., and 2:30 p.m. Sabbath (Saturday) .

St. Francis Episcopal Church
St. Francis Episcopal Church is a small but vibrant church in Pauma Valley. Holy Eucharist is celebrated at both our Sunday services. The 8 a.m. service is a quiet service without music. The 10 a.m. service offers congregational singing and a weekly musical offering by the St. Francis Choir. After the 10 a.m. service, there is food, coffee, and conversation for all.
