The Stampede Rodeo will offer six main rodeo events on Friday and

Saturday, including broncs, barrels, women's breakaway, calf roping, chute

doggin' and bull riding, which is saved for last because it's the most exciting and

the biggest crown pleaser.

For the third year, the rodeo will honor the Wounded Warriors Sunday afternoon,

including 100 from the Wounded Warrior Battalion at Camp Pendleton. They will

be guests of the rodeo committee and will be given a hero's welcome on Sunday

afternoon. Their barbecue lunch is being catered and cost being covered by Roy

Stinson of B & B Lock and Safe and Tom & Monti Armstrong of Valley Center.

They will sit in the covered VIP section, with a catered lunch to thank them for

their service and many sacrifices to a grateful nation.

Also taking part in the three days will be the recently crowned rodeo queens: Allie

McCall and Renee Turbush. They will take part in the grand entries Friday,
