Roadrunner editor's house catches fire

June 13, 2013
Our longtime editor David Ross found out on Tuesday night that his house on Palomar Mountain had caught fire. Ross was in Valley Center working towards deadline at the time and was unharmed, but making the trip up the mountain, he said that he feared the house had burned down completely. Mark Brock, a subletter and the Roadrunner's cartoonist, was confirmed to be unharmed in the fire. It was Brock who apparently called the fire department and Ross when he noticed the fire in front of the house. We will have more details as they become available, and we will be sharing ways for the community to help David as the week goes on. Be sure to visit our Web site at www.valleycenter.com and our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/valleycenter throughout the week to get further updates.
