The Dos Valles Garden Club presents their Third Annual Free Community Seed Swap & Plant Sale Sat., March 22, 8am-1pm, at the Martin Gang Ranch, 28933 Cole Grade Road, Valley Center. Free seeds, local plants to buy, master gardeners available, and refreshments! Please bring any extra seeds to share, labeled with names and colors, if possible.
Lilac School's FAVE (Fine Arts Volunteer Educators) Art program is planning its second FAVE Family Art Night scheduled for Friday, May 16. The event will feature live music, food, a large student art exhibit, an auction of class projects, and guest artists. Local artists are invited to share their talents with students during the event which is open to the community. FAVE is also looking for donations for the silent auction to be held during the event. BENEFIT ART SALE AND CONCERT
Valley Center Art Association (VCAA) will sponsor a benefit Art Sale and Concert for Craig and Kathy Nyberg at the Maxine Theater, located at the Valley Center High School, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 12. The art sale and silent auction will begin at 1 p.m. Items include over 30 sketches, framed paintings, sculpture, wood carvings, gourds and jewelry. The concert begins at 2 p.m. featuring the Bourbon Street Jazz Band and Valley Center Symphony. Valley Center artist and teacher Barbara Graham will offer commissioned portraits of individuals or pets, for a donation to the Nyberg family. All proceeds from sales will go to the Nyberg family.
