The Sixteenth Annual VHCS Jaguar Auction is being held on Saturday, April 5th at the VCHS Gym to raise funds for various VCHS clubs and teams along with the VCHS Foundation Endowment. Doors open at 6 p.m. The live and silent auction is Valley Center's largest charity fundraising event hosted by the VCHS Foundation. Tickets are $10 and everyone is automatically entered into the drawing for a flat-screen TV. Tables can be reserved for the evening for $100 donation. The County of San DiegoPala-Pauma Valley Community Sponsor Group meeting scheduled for Tuesday April 1 at 7 p.m. has been cancelled.
BENEFIT ART SALE AND CONCERT
Valley Center Art Association (VCAA) will sponsor a benefit Art Sale and Concert for Craig and Kathy Nyberg at the Maxine Theater, located at the Valley Center High School, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 12. The art sale and silent auction will begin at 1 p.m. Items include over 30 sketches, framed paintings, sculpture, wood carvings, gourds and jewelry. The concert begins at 2 p.m. featuring the Bourbon Street Jazz Band and Valley Center Symphony. Valley Center artist and teacher Barbara Graham will offer commissioned portraits of individuals or pets, for a donation to the Nyberg family. All proceeds from sales will go to the Nyberg family. PARKS AND REC DISTRICT LOOKING FOR COMMUNITY INPUT
The Valley Center Parks and Recreation District has put together an online questionnaire to better gauge the community's interests in Parks' facilities. All Valley Center residents are invited to fill out the quick survey. It is available at the VCPRD's new website: www.valleycenterparks.com. The revamped website also features a new online reservation system for use of the Community Hall and Parks' facilities.
