DID YOU KNOW

That the Valley Center library has a used book store inside, with books to fill your shelves? Staffed by volunteers from the Friends of the Valley Center Library, most books cost one to two dollars, and all proceeds go to the library for the purchase of new books for the library shelves.

GOLF TOURNAMENT

Support our youth and come join us for the 9th Annual Valley Center Real Estate Professionals Scholarship Golf Tournament Friday, May 2, 2014 at Woods Valley Golf Course. In the last 8 years, the fun event has provided over $100,000 in scholarships to VCHS graduating seniors. Please participate and help our local scholars: come golf in the tournament, provide sponsorship, or an item to be auctioned off. New this year, win a new car of $25,000 for a hole in one on one of the four par 3s (golf professionals are not eligible). TACK AND TREASURE SALE

Valley Center Vaqueros will hold its annual Tack and Treasure Sale on Saturday April 5th, from 8 a.m. – noon at Valley Center Vaqueros Equestrian Park, 28210 Lilac Rd in Valley Center. Come sell your Tack or Treasures. Space rentals

are per person, $15 for members, non-members $20, Non-Profits FREE. Business or informational booths are welcome. Must supply your own tables, chairs and canopy. TRAILS ASSOCIATION HIKE

Join Valley Center Trails Association for a one hour hike into Keys Creek Canyon to the old Stonehouse on Sunday, April 13 at 9 a.m. Permission to hike on private property has been generously granted by the property owners, but attendance is limited so registration is required. We will meet at 8:50 and then hike through chaparral and riparian woodland across the creek to the historic stonehouse. This hike is rated moderate. Wear sturdy hiking shoes.
