VCPUSD SUMMER HOURS

During the summer the District Office and Business Office will be closed on the following Friday's: June 20, June 27, July 4, July 11, July 18 and July 25.  The offices will be open regular business hours 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday thru Thursday.

ADULT SUMMER READING PROGRAM

Escondido Public Library's Summer Reading Clubs began Monday, June 23 and runs through August 2, 2014. This year's theme is "Paws to Read," encouraging book and animal-lovers of all ages to "pause," read, and discuss what they've read with others. The Library's Adult Summer Reading Club offers the opportunity to record books read and share recommendations and reviews with others. As part of the Adult summer reading program a tutorial on how to use eReaders to download free library eBooks will be held on Tuesday, July 15. "Train your tablet for eBooks" will teach those who own iPads, Android and Window tablets how to access the collection. Adults can join by registering in-person at the Library Information Desk or online through July 19 by visiting library.escondido.org/adultSRC. Participants who submit book reviews will be eligible for prizes. All programs, events, and services are free and open to the public. Escondido Public Library is located at 239 South Kalmia Street in Escondido.  PROPERTY TAX ASSESSMENT APPEALS

Those who wish to appeal the appraised value of their property, appeals may be filed from July 2 through Dec. 1 Applications and booklets with instructions are available at the Clerk of the Board's office in the County Administration Center or by visiting sdcounty.ca.gov. Once filled out applications and forms can be mailed to Clerk of The Board of Supervisors, Assessment Appeals, 1600 Pacific Highway, Room 402, San Diego, CA 92101-2461.

DRIVERS ED AT VC HIGH SCHOOL

A Drivers Education class will be offered at Valley Center High School Monday, July 14, through Thursday July 17 from 8 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. each day. Full attendance is required to receive to the course completion form. The class is being offered free of charge through the ASE Program. To sign up, send an email with full name and VCPUSD ID number to Schwarz.ba@vcpusd.org. Students must be at least 15 years of age to attend. Lunch and snacks are not provided.
