Freshman girls volleyball team wins El Camino Frosh Tournament title

Valley Center's freshman girls volleyball team put together an outstanding run in the El Camino Frosh Tournament this weekend and brought home the tournament championship.

The Lady Jaguars won three matches along the way to capture the title, as the downed Fallbrook, Escondido Charter and the Las Vegas Liberty along the way.

The Lady Jags also had Marissa McInerny and Malia Hill named as the most valuable players of the tournament.

Playing for the Lady Jaguars in the tournament were Carly Coberly, Brittany Dunckel, Dannika Fulmer, Malia Hill, Megan Kleiman, Ashley Kleiman, Miranda Knight, Marissa McInerny and Emily Venisse

The team is coached by Jonette DeLauder.
