Dec. 27 deadline to register for Jaguar Baseball skills camp
High school puts on baseball camp to help local ballplayers get ready for season
December 13, 2013Valley Center High School's Jaguar Baseball program today announced plans for a baseball skills camp set for Friday and Saturday, January 3-4, 2014 at Valley Center High School's varsity baseball field.
The camp will be aimed at developing baseball skills for players, both boys and girls, ages 7-14 in anticipation for the upcoming season. The camp will offer clinics in hitting, pitching, throwing, catching, infield, outfield and much more. Deadline for registration is December 27, 2013 and space is limited.
"We are very pleased to create a local level of involvement for our high school to help in developing younger players in the community here in Valley Center," said Ron Sisler, head coach, Valley Center High School Jaguar Baseball. "This is a great opportunity for our coaches and teams to engage the leadership in the high school and mentor the players in our backyard. Not only is it great preparation for Little League tryouts but this program will give kids a glimpse of into the VCHS baseball program."
The program is just $100 for two full days and includes lunch, skills and games each day. The clinic hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Valley Center High School, VCHS Varsity Field, 31322 Cole Grade Road, 92082. Proceeds benefit the VCHS Baseball program.
