Valley Center's varsity girls water polo team had a pair of games last week and came away with a win and a loss.

"The girls struggled early but had a solid showing in the second quarter against a solid Vista squad," head coach Kyle Kline said. "We were unable to match their speed in the second half."

Stephanie McCaulley had one assist, and one steal. Sam Gonzalez had two assists, one steal, and one exclusion. Makaila Keeley had a great game with 12 goal saves, four steals, and one assist.
