VC Hurricanes soccer program to hold tryouts march 1

February 13, 2014
Valley Center's competitive youth soccer program, the Hurricanes, will hold its tryouts for the "younger" division on Saturday, March 1 from 3–5 p.m. at Valley Center Middle School.

The Hurricane program has been in existence for over 20 years. Currently the Hurricanes have two boys teams in the "younger" division, the U 13/14 team and the U 9/10 team. There are also two girls teams: U 11/12 and U 13/14.

If you have a child who is interested in playing at the next level, and they are born between Sept. 1, 2000 and July 31, 2005, please consider having them come to tryouts. New teams will form at other age levels if there is enough interest.

The Hurricanes program is run by volunteers; all coaches are licensed and risk-managed. The program operates at a fraction of the cost of virtually every other club in San Diego County.

Games and tournaments are played through the Presidio League, with most games and tournaments being played on Saturdays, and occasionally on Sunday from June through November.
