After winning the season opener, then advancing to the finals in the annual VCHS Tournament and downing San Marcos to begin the season with four wins, the Valley Center varsity girls lacrosse team took another big step with another win last week.

The Lady Jaguars played at Ramona last Wednesday and brought home a 12–9 victory.

Both teams kept the game close throughout the contest, but the Lady Jags built a small advantage in the first half, scoring seven times and holding the Lady Bulldogs to just four to take a three-goal lead at the half.

The teams traded goals in the second half and finished with five each as Valley Center held on to take the win.

The Lady Jaguars already hosted San Dieguito on Monday and played at Del Norte on Wednesday this week. They return home to face Mt. Carmel next Monday at 6:30 p.m.
