It's been a long season for the Valley Center High boys' varsity volleyball team. The Jags lost all three sets to Escondido's Del Norte High School, 3-0 this past Friday.

The first set was looking good for the Jags, but hopes started to fade in the last few minutes of the first set when the Nighthawks started a rally and ended the set 25-18. Trying very hard, the Jaguars tried to rally with some lively play against the Del Norte team, but came up short 25-16. Not to give up without a valiant effort, the competition in the third set found the Jaguar men somewhat disheartened with a 25-13 loss to Del Norte.

The Jaguars overall standings were 9-11 and league standing finished at 3-7. Valley Center bid farewell to three senior players that evening, Benjie Schecter, Paul Schaner, and Andrew Nebeker are all graduating this year. Good luck to our seniors and we at the Roadrunner wish them a bright future and thank them for their participation in team volleyball at Valley Center High School.
