Lazy H hosts antique car show
May 22, 2013Sunday May 19 the Lazy H RANCH in Pauma Valley hosted the Mercedes-Benz Club of America, San Diego Section and the Packards International Automobile Club, San Diego Region's annual car show and luncheon. Both vintage and modern Mercedes-Benz autos were shown and Packards were represented by both pre and post war automobiles. The oldest Mercedes-Benz shown was a 1961 190SL Roadster and the oldest Packard was a 1939 touring Sedan. First place for the Mercedes-Benz group went a 1961 190SL Roadster owned by Brian and Diana Kruse of San Diego. Second place, Mercedes-Benz group was awarded to Carol Ross of Valley Center and her 1969 280SE Coupe. The first place Packard award was Phil Pizzuto of Oceanside and his 1939 Packard 120 touring Sedan. Pizzuto's Packard was used by the Packard Motor Car Company to introduce their 1939 models at the 1939 San Francisco Worlds Fair. Rudy Vallee and Joe DiMaggio were photographed with this Packard.
