Valley Center Art Association to hold sale June 29

Valley Center Art Association (VCAA) artists will display and sell their art on Saturday, June 29 from 9 a.m. —1 p.m. at the Light of the Valley Lutheran Church, 28330 Lilac Rd. in Valley Center.

VCAA artists, including Judy Downing (oil on canvas), Barbara Graham (oil on canvas) and Kimm Byers (watercolor and acrylic on canvas), will be in attendance to discuss their work and to answer questions. Art by the late artists Jim Honey, Anita Honey, Howard Kim Weed and Diana Wright will be offered for sale. Watercolor and oil painting scenes include floral, local points of interest, portraits, landscapes, seascapes, animals and garden scenes.

The Valley Center Art Association is dedicated to promoting the interest and appreciation of art and art education within Valley Center and Pauma Valley. VCAA sponsors a yearly art show open to all and a yearly Valley Center High School art show open to VCHS students. Awards are given at both events. At the high school art show, a scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school student who plans on pursuing an art related major or minor in college.

VCAA sponsors special events open to all such as photography, drawing classes and a weekly senior citizen's oil painting for VCAA members.
