They will check your house and surroundings daily for free. Who better to watch your house than the professionals who have extensive resources at their disposal? DESIGN REVIEW—The next meeting of the Valley Center Design Review Board will be Monday, Aug. 5, 5-7 p.m. at Valley Center Library History Room. On the agenda will be the re-submission of the Accretive (Lilac Hills) project's Draft Environmental Impact Report. Deadline for public comment on this project is

August 19. The public is invited to attend and make comments.

FUND-RAISER—Gina Marie, who is known to many Valley Center residents for her years in Valley Center Community Theater productions, is a former teenaged ballerina who is confined to a wheelchair.

"Miss Gina" as her students called her, began to work around the limitations of her injury with faith and a positive outlook. Focused on exploring new forms of creative expression, which has included Voice-over Acting, wheelchair dancing, video production and volunteering with a music therapy program, Gina Marie has successfully redefined herself embracing life with joy . Now several years later she finds herself dealing with complications related to the nerve damage in her spine.

A few weeks ago she was in ICU when her heart dropped down to 7bpm. This weekend there will be a fund-raiser to help send her to the Mayo Clinic. On Saturday, Aug. 3, 8 a.m.–10 a.m. The fundraiser is called "Gina's Breakfast Champions- Eat Breakfast & Change a Life!"

Applebee's will open their doors early to those with pre-purchased tickets for a special breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage and orange juice/coffee. Applebee's will donate 50% of all ticket sales to the cause.

FOOD TRUCK EVENT—T1O Events & Promotions and San Pasqual High School (3300 Bear Valley Pkwy South, Escondido) are teaming up to bring San Diego's best Gourmet Food Trucks to you!
