Families came out in droves to Bates Nut Farm for the annual Pumpkin Festival held Saturday. Attendees at the event enjoyed the petting zoo, children's rides, and mouthwatering delicacies such as roasted corn and BBQ. More than 100 vendors offered arts and crafts for those looking for that one-of-a-kind item. Pictured clockwise from top left, Isabella Ayala, 6, takes a ride down an inflatable slide. Twelve-month-old Melody Gray makes a new friend at the petting zoo. Randy Mongernel of Margie's Shuck Wagon roasts fresh corn and potatoes for eager customers. — Kim Harris
