Fundraiser for local's medical treatment

October 16, 2013
Cree Morris, former NFL quarterback and a member of the class of 1989 at Orange Glen High School, hosted a passing session with his son Noah at last weekend's OG Fest. The all-day festival welcomed more than 200 Orange Glen alumni and friends of all years to Adams Park on Saturday, Oct. 12. Several Orange Glen alumni bands played at the event, there was a jump house for kids, and there was a raffle with proceeds going toward alumni Vu Dang's cancer treatment (of Dang Good Yoga in Escondido).

"The response from day one has been overwhelming," said James Staake, event organizer. He is already hard at work planning another OG Fest, likely to be held next summer. His goal is to maintain and grow the friendships formed around the Orange Glen community for many years to come. — Kim Harris
