February 21, 2014
Jason Blasius was born on May 20, 1996. He has lived in Valley Center since 2004 and loves the VC community. His life starts with his love of family which includes his Dad, Mom, and brother, Justin. He thanks them for putting up with him and supporting him in everything he does.

Some fun facts about Jason: He loves to meet new people, he does not like brownies, and his favorite show is "The Office."

Jason is involved in a variety of extracurricular activities while keeping up with a rigorous academic schedule. Not willing to take an easy senior year class load, Jason is studying AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Economy, AP Literature and Composition and ASB. He is the ASB Vice-President of the school and enjoys leading the school and running the ASB events such as pep rallies and dances.

Along with academics, Jason plays both varsity soccer and varsity lacrosse and is a captain for each. He is also involved in the National Honors Society, California Scholarship Federation, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Community service is a big portion of Jason's daily life. He is very involved with the soccer community training recreational kids during season and helping coach the local club soccer teams.

Jason lives his life through God and is proud to bring his faith into what he does. He serves as a leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as well as in his church's high school youth group. Jason thanks God for everything that has happened to him.

Emma Sloman has lived in Valley Center her whole life. She has applied to colleges outside of San Diego and will receive her acceptances in March. Having been inspired by her AP Statistics teacher Mrs. Thor, she plans to pursue either math or engineering. She has a cumulative 4.4 GPA and is currently ranked number one in her class.

When she is not studying for her four AP classes this year, she is practicing softball. Emma has been starting pitcher on varsity softball all four years and was made captain last year.

She is also the president of Key Club, a community service club that requires 20 hours of service a semester.

Emma is currently organizing a shoe drive within the school to help people in underdeveloped countries.`
