March 2014 Jags of the Month
March 12, 2014From kindergarten Marisa Loya has attended Valley Center schools, and twelve years later is still a proud member of the Valley Center community. She maintains a heavy workload in school with, AP Literature and Composition, AP Statistics, AP United States Government, Economics, and Choreography and Production.
At school she is also a member of CSF, NHS, HOSA, and Project You. In addition to academics, she is also a part of not only the Valley Center High School dance program, but a dancer at Georgia's School of Dance. There she is a competition team member, and attends competitions annually. She also works as the front desk receptionist at the studio, when she's not in rehearsals.
Her loving parents and sister have supported her through her many endeavors over the years, and will continue to do so as she continues to pursue dance as a hobby in college. After spending thirteen years training, she hopes to join a college dance team or program. Wherever she goes she hopes to continue dancing, while studying human biology. She aspires to become a physical or occupational therapist to be able to treat dancers. This way she will continue to keep her passion for dance an important part of her life.
