Mount Palomar Kennel Club Dog Show returns to Bates Nut Farm

Bates Nut Farm hosts the annual Mount Palomar Kennel Club Dog Show May 16 to May 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The public is invited to watch the three-day competition featuring over 1,000 entries of all dog breeds. An accredited American Kennel Club event, the show is an opportunity to watch the dogs, their owners, and groomers win top honors. Awards are presented to Best In Show and Best In Group. Spectators and exhibitors can enjoy the Valley Center Lions Club pancake breakfast on Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m.

Admission to the farm and parking is free.

Open year round, Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center is located on 100 acres and is surrounded by mulberry and oak trees. The farm is best known for fall activities and the pumpkin patch. Any time of year is the perfect time to visit the tranquil setting, picnic under the trees, feed animals at the farm zoo, and shop for candy, nuts, and gifts at the two retail shops.
