Wounded Warriors Open to be held at Woods Valley
July 09, 2014Woods Valley Golf Course will be hosting the Warrior Open on Sept. 20 of this year. The event will be supporting the Wounded Warrior Project.
The Wounded Warriors Projects mission is to raise awareness and engage the public's assistance for the needs of injured service members who have given so much for their fellow citizens. They do this by helping injured service members aid and assist each other. They provide some very unique programs and services to help meet the needs of injured service members and their families.
Woods Valley Golf Course is a beautiful tree-lined course with gently rolling slopes that make it a championship, 18-hole, Par 72 golf course located in the heart of Valley Center. The course, with its beautiful view of Mt. Palomar and surrounding mountains, is considered one of the best courses in Southern California and described by many golfers as a little bit of heaven.
In addition to great fairways, the Pro Golf Shop has everything you would need for a great day of golf. Woods Valley has its own driving range and practice greens to help you get started for your day of golf.
The Warrior Open has an 11 a.m. shotgun start and will feature a four person scramble with dinner, drinks, music, raffle, and auction. Single golfers are $100, a foursome is $400, hole sponsorships are $100, and a HERO Package, which is a foursome and hole sponsorship is $450. Checks are to be made payable to Woods Valley Golf Club and payment must be received no later than Sept. 7.
