“The butler didn’t do it!” So starts this murder-mystery musical being presented by Premiere Productions on the Welk Resort Theater Sept. 7 ¬— 22.

When wealthy Lord Rancour is found dead at his lakeside estate, the race to find out who did it begins. Filled with booby-traps and belted songs this spoof of Agatha Christie’s Ten Little Indians features a wide array of Clue-inspired characters including Vista’s Broadway Theater owners Randall Hickman as Flint the caretaker and Douglas Davis as the Butler. Both are currently appearing as the Monster and Inspector Kemp in Moonlight Stage Productions’s Young Frankenstein.

“Juggling Young Frankenstein at night and Something’s Afoot rehearsals in the day has been quite the challenge,” said director and featured performer Randall Hickman. “We open Something’s Afoot at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7. Once the matinee is over we head to Vista for our 8 p.m. performance of Young Frankenstein! It’s a day of theater.”

Something’s Afoot plays Sept. 7–22, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $31.50 and can be purchased by calling 888-802-7469 or order online at
