VC Cub Scouts seek new members

September 15, 2013

Valley Center Cub Scout Pack 619 will host a membership meeting at Lilac Elementary School on Friday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m.

Parents of interested in boys having some fun, excitement, and outdoor opportunities are encouraged to attend. This is a chance to participate in a program in which he doesn’t always have to win — instead, he learns how to ‘Do your best’ and how to be helpful to others.

Cub Scouting is a home and neighborhood centered program designed to support and encourage quality family involvement for boys in the 1st through 5th grades. Each Cub Scout learns to respect his home, country, and other people.

The program also helps boys of this age to:

— Learn new physical skills through sports, crafts and games

— Learn how to get along with others through group activities

— Develop new mental skills such as writing and calculating

— Develop personal independence

— Learn to make values-based decisions that assist them throughout their adult life

Now is your chance to get him involved and sign up for Cub Scouting!

For more information about how your son can join, please contact Christina Braxmeyer at 760-751-2798 or via email at vcpack619@gmail.com.

Please be sure a parent or guardian comes with any boy wishing to sign up for Cub Scouting!
