“Santa’s Coming!” Craft Fair at Bates Nut Farm

Bates Nut Farm will be hosting their annual “Santa’s Coming!” Arts ‘n Craft Fair over Thanksgiving weekend. The event will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 29, 30 and Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 80 artisans will be on hand selling a variety of handmade crafts and fine art, featuring pottery, glass, jewelry, woodworking, candles, toys, fabric arts, holiday items and much more.

The Valley Center Lions Club will serve their famous Pancake Breakfast each day from 7–10 a.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $5 for children for a hearty breakfast of pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, orange juice and coffee. Proceeds benefit local charities.

There will be live entertainment and a BBQ lunch from noon until 3 p.m. on each day. The entertainment lineup features bluegrass from the Ash Street Ramblers on Friday, Cajun and Zydeco from the Bayou Brothers on Saturday. All shows take place on the Bates Stage. The Bates retail store and Farmer’s Daughter gift shop are filled with holiday gift ideas, and will be open all weekend long from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
