Every few months I have someone come into the office and tell me they want more local coverage.

Now, I might be a bit biased, but I think we do a pretty good job covering local news in Valley Center. We are timely, accurate and well written. But our readers are who drive our coverage, so I want to know, what are you looking for in local news coverage?

At the Valley Roadrunner we strive to be all of the above mentioned things, but if what is covered in the paper isnít the news you are looking for then we want to know. What do you want to read about? We pride ourselves on giving you the local coverage you want and deserve.

Things like water board, school board and planning group issues are important to all residents of Valley Center and we will continue to cover them. Readers might like our coverage of news and local issues, but have an idea on the types of features they would like to see. Maybe youíd like to see more sports, better business coverage or even for us to add a Sudoku puzzle. Whatever it is Iíd like to know.

A community newspaper thrives on the feedback from its readers so in order to make sure the Roadrunner is your go to source for local news and information, I am soliciting our readers for comments on every aspect of the paper. What can we do to make your Roadrunner better?

To give your input simply send an email to, send us a letter to the Valley Roadrunner, P.O. Box 1429, Valley Center, CA 92563, or give us a call at 760-749-1112. Better yet, if youíre out and about stop by the office and see me in person to air your comments, questions or concerns. My door is always open.

Bottom line is that the Valley Roadrunner wants to make sure that you, our readers, like what you see each week when you pick-up the paper and to do that we need your input. So, donít be shy, let us know what you want to see in your community newspaper.
