Ridgeview Church

St. Stephen Parish is proud to present “The Passion of Our Lord” on Friday, April 18 in the parish hall with two performances: one at 5:30 p.m. and the other at 8 p.m. This is a spiritual musical drama depicting the life, ministry, trials and crucifixion of our Lord. Admission is free.

John Struzzo, the Rosary and Divine Mercy Devotion, RCIA in English and Spanish, Bible study on the Book of Acts, Faith formation for all youth, RCIC in Spanish, the last Lenten series on the 7 Deadly Sins/7 Lively Virtues, Mass and Confession, the last soup/supper for this Lent with a fish dinner hosted by the Women’s Guild, St. Vincent pantry, Spanish Faith Formation and Catholic’s Divorce Survival Guide.

Seventh-day Adventist

Seventh-day Adventist Church, preaches the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Sabbath (Saturday) services will begin with Bible study classes at 9:30 a.m. for all ages. The adult lesson is entitled, “Christ and the Law of Moses,” continuing our quarters’ studies on “Christ and His Law.” Lessons are available by going online at The sermon will be presented by Elder Earl Labry. Sermons are posted on our website which can be located at A fellowship meal will be served after the church service. Sunday there will be singing at 10:00 a.m. at the Villas Convalescent Center in Escondido. Wednesday is prayer meeting at 7, with dinner at 6 p.m. We are studying the book “The Desire of Ages on the life of Christ.” All are invited. St. Francis Episcopal Church

St. Francis Episcopal Church is located in Pauma Valley. The church’s mission is to share the love of Christ. The church is located at 16608 Highway 76 near the Pauma Valley Community Center. All are invited to join in Holy Week services.

April 13, the people of St. Francis will gather for Palm Sunday Service. On this day there will be one service at 10:00 a.m. The service will begin with the Liturgy of the Palms. Members of the church will assist in the reading of the Passion of our Lord. Holy Communion will follow.

April 17, Maundy Thursday services will be held at 5:30 p.m. The congregation will join in worship and Holy Communion. Special music will be shared. The altar guild will assist in the Stripping of the Altar while the congregation prays together. The following day, Good Friday Liturgy will begin at noon. A reading of the Passion of Christ will be presented by members of the church. The Stations of the Cross will be observed. Following the solemn worship service on this day, hot cross buns and coffee will be shared in the Parish Hall.

Easter Sunday will be a joyful celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. One service will be held at 10 a.m. Special hymns will be sung. Trumpets will add a sense of power and joy to the Easter hymns. All members and guests are encouraged to bring bells to ring during the service. Holy Communion will be celebrated. Following the service an Easter Egg Hunt will be held for the children. Special Easter refreshments will be served during the Coffee Hour.

Sunday School and babysitting will be available at the Sunday 10 a.m. services. The Sunday School lessons will tell the story of Jesus’ triumphant entrance into Jerusalem, his persecution, crucifixion, and resurrection.
