Jags Varsity Volleyball fall prey to Cougars and Bulldogs

It was a long week for Valley Center High School boy’s varsity volleyball team. With recent wins over Orange Glen on April 2 (3-0) and San Pasqual on April 4 (3-2), the Jags came in pretty confident that they would prevail over Escondido and subsequently the Ramona Bulldogs.

With the Escondido Cougar’s more experienced team and height advantage, the Jaguars played at a disadvantage against Escondido’s Cougars, but did not go down easy.

It was an even more difficult game for the Jags when they faced Ramona’s Bulldogs. Though it was a 3-0 win for Ramona, the Jaguars gave a very good show. The games were very close. The Jaguars will no doubt make some adjustments in their game plan when they face Del Norte High School at Del Norte at 5:15 p.m. on April 23.
