HOLY WEEK – beginning with Palm Sunday is the last week of Lent. It is the time to commemorate and enact the suffering (Passion) and death of Jesus through various observances and services of worship. These are the two important events on Maundy Thursday. Jesus celebrated the Last Supper with His disciples and thereby instituted the Eucharist. Then Jesus washed the disciple’s feet as an act of humility and service, thereby setting an example that we should love and serve one another in humility. On Good Friday, God demonstrates His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Then Christ rose on Easter Sunday. St. Stephen parish is proud to present The Passion of Our Lord. This is a spiritual musical drama depicting the life, ministry, trials and crucifixion of Our Lord. The re-enactment will be on April 18 in the parish hall. To ensure adequate seating for all, there will be two performances – one at 5:30 p.m. and the other 8 p.m. Admission is free.

Upcoming activities in the parish include the Knights of Columbus Storm Baseball evening in Lake Elsinore on May 10 at 6 p.m. This is a great event for families and friends. Call Vito at (760) 277-2283 or (760) 751-7331 for tickets.
