PVCA recently completed an extensive beautification project that included a children's playground, soccer field, gazebo and new outdoor tables for eating. Also, new trees and plants were added. A short ceremony included the dedication of the association's ball field named after the late Sam Garcia.
The larger park facility includes a medical clinic and a meeting house that is used for association activities but also can be rented for smaller functions.
PVCA recently raised $47,000to buy the needed improvements, the centerpiece being two playgrounds, one for tots and the other larger structure for pre-teens. The recently completed soccer field has been heavily used on weekends since its completion.
The picnic was provided by Pauma Valley County Club, which also provided one of its chefs.
