Lilac principal moved to special projects

Maysa Bitar is going from Lilac School principal to take Special Projects Director at Valley Center Pauma Unified School District office due to Maria Cordova leaving that post. 

Dr. Maysa Bitar is a committed educator who dedicated her profession to providing a well-rounded education for all students. According to Supt. Ron McCowan, “Maysa has been effective in collaborating with other educators to provide high quality, and pertinent instruction for all our students. During her career, Dr. Bitar has demonstrated her strong ability to build trusting relationships and utilize her expertise toward supporting the growth of students, families, and staff.”

Dr. Bitar has been the principal at Lilac School for the past three years. Her passion for lifelong learning, teaching, and student achievement has been reflected through her 17 years serving as a Student Study Plan coordinator, VCPUSD district teacher of the year, grade level district lead for the Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment team, as well as  principal. 

Dr. Bitar is very excited to take on her new role as VCPUSD’s Director of Special Projects and is looking forward to serving VCPUSD students and community in this new capacity. Said McCowan,  “Maysa’s commitment, educational experience and professional excellence will be a great asset for students, staff, and community.”
