Dear Valley Center-Pauma Community,
As you may have heard through the local news or social media, Valley Center High School freshman Angel Rodas has been missing since Sunday afternoon after performing with the VCHS band at Sea World. The school district is working with the authorities to investigate his disappearance.
The San Diego Police Department is using search and rescue dogs and is actively searching leads along the San Diego Trolley line. Many parents and community members have joined in the effort to search for Angel. If you or your student have any pertinent information that could lead to locating Angel, please reach out to the San Diego Police Department at 619-531-2000. If you see Angel, please call 911.
Angel is a 14-year-old Hispanic male, 5’5” tall, 150 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black pants and a white t-shirt with the VCHS logo on the front.
The high school’s counseling department is available to speak with students and friends of Angel who are experiencing anxiety due to Angel’s disappearance. Parents and students are encouraged to reach out to the high-school administration or counseling department if they need help or have any other information that may help in resolving the situation.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Angel and his family during this distressing time.
Please check the school district’s website later this evening for updates about this situation.
