May 14

Lori Byrd, 50, was arrested around 9:30 a.m. at Woods Valley Road on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, taking a vehicle without owner’s consent, possession of controlled substances paraphernalia and bench warrants and transported to the Vista Detention Facility. This was in connection to a silver sedan valued at $3,000 taken between 12:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. in the 300 block of Mimosa Avenue, Vista.

May 15

Tobias Stroman, 28, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. at Valley View Casino on suspicion of being drunk in public on alcohol and/or drugs and transported to the Vista Detention Facility.

A theft was reported around 9 p.m. at Harrah’s Resort Southern California with the victim reporting a wallet, ATM card, ID cards and about $300 in cash were taken.

A residential burglary was reported around 9 p.m. in the 28700 block of Canyon Road. Among items reported stolen were a refrigerator valued at $2,200, kitchen appliance valued at $2,000, microwave oven valued at $450, kitchen appliance valued at $1,200, kitchen appliance valued at $1,000 and miscellaneous tools valued at $5,000. The theft occurred sometime between 10 a.m. May 11 and 8 a.m. May 12.

May 16

Only minor incidents and bench warrants served reported.

May 17

William Grimes, 67, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance around midnight in the 14700 block of Highway 76 and transported to the Vista Detention Facility.

Around 3 a.m. at Valley View Casino, Cameron Schwersensky, 29, and Kristen Schwersensky, 27, were arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public on alcohol and/or drugs and were transported to the Vista Detention Facility.

Jenny Rogers, 28, was cited and released at Harrah’s Resort Southern California around 1:30 p.m. on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. Clinton Sylvester, a 22-year-old Marine, also was arrested at that time on suspicion of being drunk in public on alcohol and/or drugs and transported to the Vista Detention Facility. Brandon Myles, 21, was cited and released following a citizen’s arrest on suspicion of misdemeanor battery on a person.

May 18

Pacific Pride in the 28000 block of Valley Center Road reported a commercial burglary around 2 a.m. during which cigarettes valued at $1,485 and $31 in cash were taken. The incident occurred between 6:30 p.m. May 17 and 2 a.m. May 18.

Victims in the 26700 block of Saint Andrews Lane around 8 a.m. reported ID cards and about $128 in cash were taken around noon on December 31.

Around noon in the 12600 block of Via La Mirada, graffiti damaging $1,500 worth of objects was reported. The graffiti was made around midnight Feb. 15.

Nicole Couch, 41, was arrested around 4 p.m. in the 27000 block of N. Lake Wohlford Road on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of controlled substances and a bench warrant and transported to the Vista Detention Facility. A two-door sedan valued at $500 was recovered. She was transported to the Vista Detention Facility.

April Dedman, 32, was arrested around 10 p.m. at Harrah’s Resort Southern California on suspicion of being drunk in public on drugs and/or alcohol and transported to the Vista Detention Facility.

May 19

Vandalism of a fence valued at $2,000 in the 16300 block of Woods Valley Road was reported around 7 p.m.

May 20

A follow-up investigation was made around 7 a.m. of a reported simple battery that occurred around 5 p.m. May 17 at Harrah’s Resort Southern California.
