VC Road Corridor workshop July 21

The County of San Diego Planning & Development Services is inviting the community to a workshop on the Valley Center Road Corridor Concept Plan. This is the third concept plan workshop. It will be held Thursday, July 21, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at VC Center Middle School Multipurpose Room, 28102 N. Lake Wohlford Rd.

According to the planning department, “The purpose of the Valley Center Road Corridor Concept Plan (VCRCCP) is to create a sense of place within Valley Center and support a safer, more accessible corridor through implementation of traffic calming measures and other multi-modal opportunities for all users, including the pedestrian, the cyclist, equestrians, and vehicles. The project boundaries encompass the North and South Villages, from the Woods Valley Road intersection in the south to the Cole Grade Road intersection in the north.”

This third public workshop will include a presentation on the Draft VCRCCP and its associated implementation components, and interactive stakeholder exercises to receive input on the final VCRCCP. Staff and consultants from the project team will be available to answer questions and gather public input.

The workshop will be followed by a 30-day period for public submittal of comments on the Draft VCRCCP, with corresponding information and materials available on the project website starting the day of the workshop. Spanish interpreters will be available at the workshop to assist with translation needs. A campus map of the Middle School is available on the project website.

If you have any questions about the project or need accommodations at the workshop, contact County staff at the project email address or phone line listed at the bottom of this email.
